Well I think its all coming together and will all be done and ready in time for opening gate tomorrow!
The site looks great - a bit wet but great - they've added some really nice new things in several areas, moved the pub tent onto pavement so no more floating rennies, and moved the joust, one stage and some other entertainment into the Expo building so even if the heavens open upon us we'll have fun DRY things to do (lol)
I think for vendor we have it all done and ready to go, hubby has even promised to help me with the vendor awards on Saturday night so I dont have to leave the party early and stay up late printing award certificates (we'll see if he remembers) =)
it all seems to have gone really smoothly this year, I think thats a good sign but I suppose we'll see (grin) - I'm not too worried, Siouxland has proven that despite adversity we can rise again! I think we'll be ok =)
Hi all - I've gone though the archives and found a few more siouxland photos to add to our photo gallery. If you have some pictures taken at Siouxland or a Siouxland event please feel free to add them, we'd all love to see them =)
In case you haven't heard. Siouxland Renfaire has been gifted two airline tickets from Sioux Falls, SD to Las Vegas!! Huzzah!!!!
We'll be raffling them off from now until closing gate of the faire on Sunday, June 8th when we'll draw the winner. Tickets are only $5 each or five tickets for $20. That would be pretty sweet to fly to Vegas next winter (or whenever you wish of course) to the warmth of the Las Vegas strip!
If you are interested in tickets just PM me and we'll work it out, or get them at any Siouxland public event, including the faire itself!
We are working on spreading the word of Siouxland far and wide. In the past few years we have done surveys as people leave faire and found out more than anything else - word of mouth - is how folk find out about Siouxland! =)
We now have groups and pages on facebook and myspace - so if you use those please search for "siouxland" and join up, and suggest them to your friends. We would love to have a large network of rennies and non rennies that know about us and how to get involved!
If you have any other suggestions for how to spread the word of Siouxland throughout the land and internet please let me know! I do not claim to be the end all be all of knowledge here (grin)

Siouxland is in full swing with monthly meetings, a parade coming up, volunteer events, sewing bees and so much more!
We're still taking vendor apps so let vendors know about that or if you are one, get your app in asap!
We need lots of folk to help us design the faire this year and set it up, earn free entry with a few hours of volunteer time! Or consider volunteering for the faire this year, first come first served on the post you want most! =)
Winterfeast went amazingly well with a fabulous attendance, great entertainment, amazing food and a really fun silent auction! Huzzah!!!
